The MEND Solution

I have dedicated my career as a doctor to understanding the workings of the human brain and body from the inside out. One of my patients, a young boy, suffered from a hereditary immune deficiency disorder and related health problems. He experienced seizures, stopped breathing, and would turn blue for minutes at a time. His family was losing hope and thought he might not survive much longer.

In developing a treatment for this child, I was inspired by a story Napoleon Hill told about Chrysler's early days in the automotive business. Chrysler purchased a new automobile and then promptly took it apart. By reassembling the car he gained a deep understanding of the whole process and began manufacturing his own automobiles.

Using my knowledge and understanding of brain nutrition I concluded my patient was “malnourished.” His infections and allergic reactions had caused so much damage that he could not absorb nutrients from the food he was eating. We began a careful program of dietary supplementation to literally feed his malnourished mind and body. The treatment worked! Today, he can speak normally, play with energy, and attend school. He is becoming a healthy, thriving child. These and other dramatic clinical results proved to me that proper nutrition is the key to good health. Carl R. Hansen, Jr., M.D.

Dr. Hansen is a 1979 graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School.

He completed psychiatric training in 1984.  He was a psychiatry fellow at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and a child psychiatry fellow at Yale Child Study Center.  As a Merck and a Berger Research Fellow at Yale, he specialized in the clinical care of medical-psychiatric conditions.

He has published a number of articles in the areas of toxicology, neurobiology and psychiatry.
